Originally founded in 1994 as Ruda & Associates, Ruda Optical, Inc. (Ruda) has nearly 200 years of combined experience in optical and optomechanical precision systems design, modeling, assembly, and testing. Ruda is well-known in the optical engineering industry for our singular expertise in optical alignment, tight tolerancing, and custom high precision designs. We are also at the forefront of technology development in applications for aerospace, defense, and medicine.

Our team includes several PhDs in Optical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, certified Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) professionals, and personnel with specific skills in sub-micron tolerances, alignment tolerances, and space-qualified designs. In addition, we are ITAR compliant, AS9100D certified, and maintain a ISO9001:2015 Class 5 Cleanroom.

What does a ISO Certification Mean?
